- Location – Is the home in a neighborhood that is appealing? Is it in a neighborhood with a good potential for resale? If you have children, is the home close enough to good school?
- Size – Is practical with your current budget?
- Structure – Do you want a condo, a townhome, or a single-family home? Single-family homes have more maintenance while condos and townhomes maintenance are generally taken cared of by the HOA.
- Move-in ready vs. fixer-upper – A fixer-upper will be less expensive and more fun in my opinion. It’s more time consuming but you will always be working to remodel something in the home.
